@sickburnbro Even if we assume the numbers are correct and if we remove all the low-cost workforce, where are we going to get workers to pay for the welfare for the rest of the collectors of benefits? The US has a below-replacement birthrate, and government spending exceeds tax revenue annually.
As an aside the $8/apple figure is more due to inflation than anything else.

@UncleIroh @ButtWorldsMan I've heard some people state that with the increase in the standard of living, the breakdown of tightly-knit families and communities is inevitable, but I disagree. The breakdown of this culture as a direct effect of pro-socialist/communist activism via outlets such as the Fabian society which was concurrent with rapid increases in the standard of living is more to blame, I believe.

Why would you sleep on the couch because your wife is upset at something you said? Unless she is earning more than half of the family's income, assuming splitting all assets according to wages earned, she has no standing to dictate where you sleep.
If a man sleeps on the couch its because he chooses to do so. I would however recommend constructive feedback instead of mere criticism. How is she to improve if you don't provide feedback that is practical?
