The ongoing losing war against Iran demonstrates that the combined strength of the entire US military industrial complex and its intelligence services has worse predictive capability than a bunch of anonymous randos on poast and other fedi instances. Everything they're surprised about, we called well in advance.

It also demonstrates another reason that the feds are desperate for AI beyond propping up the stock market - having denuded themselves of the robust competence of an average cross section of motivated straight white guys for decades, the US government is desperate to claw back some of that capability from AI.
