The problems that the boomers cause isn't unique to them and precedes them as well but they have such an oversized influence due to demographics. They also lack the humility to step down from from their responsibilities and hand them off to their successors that used to be expected of the elderly as part of the social arrangement.

If you're old and senile enough social and political power should just be seized from you. The last century+of worshiping order and political decency has led us to hell—the outcome of a political system is the only thing that matters. If your sacred order and norms leads to mass migration, impoverishment, infanticide, and the state protection of criminals it doesn't matter how nice or agreeable things are—your order and norms are worthless and belong in a ditch.
No one has the right to any political power in society and if in their positions of power they are worthless they should be removed and those more fit taking their place.
