Hi everyone!
Today i want to talk and post an article about a subject that is not often talked about. It is about the devil and his attempts to lead you into temptation and lead you away from God. Because the truth is that when you become a Christian you will face difficulties and opposition from the devil.
When you repent and turn to God and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior you will notice that there will be attacks in your mind by the devil. He will try to make you doubt your faith (which i have experienced also multiple times). He will try to undermine the importance of God and Jesus. He will try to tempt you in doing things you should not by doing after you become a Christian.
With me it was after i became a Christian that i suddenly noticed a lot of people at my work used profanity and i found it horrible (before you become a Christian you do not notice it at all). I started to focus on it too much and i think the devil used this as my weak point. I started to have clear voices in my head that said profanities. This occured just before i woke up from my sleep. It really made me depressed and insecure in my faith. I struggled with it for some time. Until i knew i had to pray to God/Jesus to help me. And help me He did! These horrible profanities went away!
There are of course other experiences that Christians can have. Like make you doubt about if you have repented the right way and that God will not accept you. These are horrible experiences that can drive you crazy. If something happens you should tell the "thing" in your mind that you do not want anything to do with them and that you order them to go away and leave you alone in the name of Jesus and that they have to submit to Christ because He is God. This will really help (but you must believe in it). And of course pray to God to help you get rid of such experiences. Give all your things to Jesus and do not give up! Stay determined and know that God is sovereign. He will help you if you really want help. Go on and finish the race!
Also know that God/Jesus loves you and will accept you for who you are. You do not have to be perfect with your prayer of repentance. It is a heart condition. If you admit to God you are a sinner and tell Him the sins you committed (that you can remember) and are really sorry about it and ask Jesus for forgivenes and accept Him as your Lord and Savior then God will accept you and forgive you. If God knows you want to be saved and that you are genuine about it He will accept you and save you. Believe in Jesus and what He did for you on the cross. Accept that this is the only way you can be saved, not by your own good works or deeds and trust God, then you have nothing to worry about. Also not from the devil. He cannot touch you.
James 4:7
So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
1 John 5:18-19
We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them. We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one.
