To repeat one of my pet theories, derived from The Better Angels of Our Nature, the function of Christianity was to get men who were inclined to murder each other over dinner to stop with the chimpouts. But that only works when Christianity is applied to extremely violent, impulsive men. If you apply it to domesticated peasants it makes them pitiful cucks.

There are comparisons of the three American strongmen to that of Rome's original 1st Triumvirate.

- Trump = Pompey
- Elon = Crassus
- JD Vance = Caesar

But the Roman strongmen were actual war chieftains, they were much better men than a merchant->commander, a merchant->tech prophet, and a lawyer.
