My question to Germans who thank the Red Army for liberating Germany: If you're liberated then why is Ahmed raping and stabbing through your cities? And when you complain about it you get sentenced to jail, while he remains free? Tell me dear neo-German, what does freedom look like to you?

@shortstories To me the satanic factor here does not include Blacks or Whites, but replacing a native people from their own soil (here it's Europeans) and instead of having it scream out loud as the war crime that it is, to invert it (satanic) and sell it as something just and good. In a similar fashion, the tenets of modernity invert the Word of God (the enlightenment free from God) and drive us without erring before the throne of Satan, while hailing it as progress and justice.

The common Anglo boomer on the street will tell you Brits were always a nation of immigrants.. to justify images like this. We are truly approaching the apex of satanism, the final destination of modernity.

This is the price we pay, all of us, for treating historical, biological, cultural, ethnic, and (yes) racial enemies like fellow citizens. You can not make friends with monsters.

Sampled two first episodes of recent anime and I came away thoroughly disappointed. I chose them without prior research, picking two highly seeded batch-torrents from nyaa.si.

The first one was The Silent Witch
I always dislike when narration is abused to offer explanations and this is exactly how this anime started. While the mix of Bocchi the Rokku 'oh so shy she cannot talk' template protagonist, hilarious potter academy setting, and dark fantasy world seemed promising, the moment her colleague arrived at her mountain hut and pressured her to take on a job (without having ANY actual leverage) killed the entire plausibility of the story based on its own logic. That the dialogue between her and her colleague oozed cringe, predictability, while moving with the flow of molasses sealed the deal. Dropped.

The second was The Ossan Newbie Adventurer
While the premise of a 30-year 'old' guy being the hero for once (Overlord did it better) felt refreshing and promising, the story suffered from the start by relying on something that happened over the last two years without the audience knowing about it. This made it necessary for the narrative to flashback every other minute to teach us precious viewers, and remind the implausibly stupid protag (skilled office clerk with zero awareness), why things are how they are, and why our hero should think and behave a certain way. The story fell apart when characterization proved amateurish and contradicting (trying hard to make it funny), comedy entirely off-beat, and forward-movement unfolded with the speed of a snail. Dropped.

What unites both samples in their failure is not only the implication that an intriguing premise, template-mixing and matching (so common in anime, and not an issue in itself), and riding on trends is not enough, but the other implication that concepts and archetypes cannot replace genuine inspiration, a sense for how characters would/should behave, and last but not least genuine humor (while not impossible to learn, perhaps impossible to teach). Both samples being non-isekai fantasy-anime makes the comparison to Overlord appropriate, with a feeling of renewed appreciation for the masterpiece that it is.

@coolboymew I think he's right. When AI is involved at all stages of production (production led by humans) what exactly does Made with AI mean anymore? If anything they should disclose if the art in a game was generated by AI. I would still apply that label fully at apps/games made by AI, which is a different category.

Conflating Quantity with Quality is the core modern fallacy. The popular tweet, the popular account, the popular song, book, movie or actor, they're all great, fantastic, and above the unwashed masses (on whose numbers they rely for validation). In reality, no amount of likes can assign quality to a tweet, inversely, even total absence of likes cannot deny it quality: Quantity and Quality exist on two different planes, moving without mutual conditions.

Image: Today, advertisers decide quality.

There has to be a third way beyond colonizing other people, or shipping them into our countries to rape and sodomize our women and children, and that seems to be Multipolarity: Trade with them, deal with them, exchange with them, but do never touch that which defines identity: race, culture, religion. This is the alternative to supremacism, which requires colonization, and globalism, which requires mass immigration. A world of many poles, with actual diversity of places and people.

When we encounter nihilism in anime/manga/games we encounter it in the setting, not in the theme. From Berserk, Dark Souls, to Higurashi, the heroes we encounter, accompany, live with find meaning in worlds that seemed to offer everything but that.

Nihilistic anime/manga are an anomaly! Japan is an inherently forward-looking culture, this implies a belief in something good, in something greater, in something beautiful, and it perfectly aligns with their Shinto animistic (all is alive; inherent goodness; evil exists, as an Other) Buddhist (purification of the soul) operating system. In the narrative tradition of Japan we encounter Noh, where heaven and hell meet on stage to exorcise, purify, and harmonize; leaving no room for nihilism.

@ins0mniak tried playing it few weeks ago and aborted the attempt immediately. MGS 2 aged surprisingly well on the other hand.

Definitely registered a vibe- and content-shift on X after the account registered/based in disclosure. I guess tons of grifters were robbed of their grift.

@RodrickSage don't think we can compare high-end with slim-PCs
