This woman is incredibly dumb. Or maybe she's been though court before and knows no judge will do anything to her. But anyone who knows their rights closes and locks the door of their car. If the cop says, "Why did you lock your door" you say "force of habit. Why are you detaining me?" If he says "I smell weed" you said, "I don't and I don't give you consent to search my car you have no probable cause." They'll search anyway, but it can make it easier, even if you just get a shitty public defender, when it goes to court.

Then you keep your damn mouth shut. She admits to having weed. She admits to having a pipe. She's just says "Go head" to search the vehicle. There is no "vehicle exception," but your vehicle does have a very low degree of protection compared to your house .. not that it matters because she gives up her 4th amendment right willingly.

She also fights them on the arrest. It was wrong of them to trip her and it's sad she lost the leg, but she's just such a fucking moron I don't have a lot of sympathy in this particular case.

Cops aren't the smartest and the the problem is really the law. Decriminalize weed and this situation wouldn't have resulted in anything other than a ticket, even for a woman this stupid. This is really an example of stupid killin' stupid.
