Devuan is great for freedom of choice. During install gives the user a choice between SysVinit, Runnit, and OpenRC. If you use the netinstaller option you also get a choice of desktop environments during install including XFCE, Cinnamon, Gnome, KDE, LXDE, LXQT and Mate. It can also easily be used with the libre kernel if one wanted to if you follow the instructions at FSFLA.

Unusual how? James Pease’s two wives, Leslie and Laura, are sisters! Like other guests on Pete Rambo’s show, they are intensely serious Christians, and James was involved in ministry at some evangelical-type church; while I found it hard to relate to their feeling conscience-bound to stop celebrating Christmas and Easter in a way reminiscent of Jehovah’s Witnesses, it is interesting that James and Leslie both said they were directly led by God to embrace polygyny. Their church was near where fundamentalist Mormons practiced plural marriage, and James was actually working on a presentation about what their church’s policy toward plural families should be when he felt called to take his wife’s sister Laura as a second bride.

Considering the discussion goes on for over 50 minutes, they could have said more about the rightness of sororal polygyny specifically from a Christian perspective, but the guests did tell one adorable, grace-filled story. Leslie’s 4th child was born on the 1-year anniversary of Laura and James consummating their marriage—a strong parallel of how God blesses Rachel in Genesis 30! Having a #Roku app for @owncast is one of those little things that give me so much hope. That we're not that far away from having totally independent creators fully displace the top down influence of the broadcast television experience and cable and big streamers like #Netflix #DisneyPlus etc and the pretend decentralization of #YouTube #Rumble etc.

that is it for me, a yt link is like a #rumble (req telephone number ID) or #odysee (cloudflare) video link; dead to me.... it is PeerTube, self-host or nothing.
