Former #Russian minister Nikolai Nikiforov flew to the UAE on a business jet just hours before he was due to be detained in the Finiko case. Nikiforov, accused of involvement in the Finiko financial pyramid and fraud , reportedly left #Russia on the eve of his planned detention. According to Kommersant, the case concerns the alleged theft of 5 billion roubles from 8,000 investors .
