CNN reports #Russia deployed 14 satellites above the "Prince Sultan" base in Saudi Arabia, after which an Iranian ballistic missile struck the base. As a result of the attack, a Boeing E-3 Sentry AWACS aircraft was destroyed. It is believed that, among others, the "Kosmos-2573" satellite (the fifth satellite in the "Bars-M" series) may have been operating there, used for high-resolution optical reconnaissance.
