I've spent a lot of time around conservatives and proud nazis. I know what the talking points are, nowhere is part of that acknowledging how your country is responsible for what is happening now. Yeah, I know you don't all believe the same things but I'm pretty sure that not taking responsibility for the above is something you all largely agree upon.
America bombing other countries, is something we are all responsible for as citizens whether we like it or not. We pay taxes to the government that takes our dollars and funnels them over to conflict in Israel or Ukraine. Everyday some more bullshit happens and we're closer to a maximum surveillance state.

God is perfect. on the matter of india, india was civilized well before northern europe was. its civilization experienced a decline in part because of Islamic and british colonialism. its a country with many issues but china also was recently impoverished and now they are a great power. india likewise will undergo a renaissance it really is only a matter of time. south asians have many accomplishments in their diaspora as well. youre frankly just being hateful when you say its a nation without merit.

I dont see the point in speaking to you about this when you falsely believe that india is perpetually poor and you dont even care to educate yourself about the religion youre criticizing. your knowledge of india and its culture is less than superficial and based on racism. and what is the point of your efforts? you just want to feel superior to me and for me to agree, or perhaps for me to disavow hinduism. its completely fruitless, and purely based in feelings.
My overarching point is I want for me and mine what Indians wanted for themselves and their country, what every people's want for their people and country. Indians eventually kicked the British out of India because no one likes being invaded and ruled by foreigners, even when those foreigners improve the material conditions.
No one wants to be colonized. How much greater is that impulse when the people invading and colonizing degrade your country instead of improving it? I agree in general that the colonial project was wrong and stupid, if for no other reason that it created massive resentment among the colonized, and lead to those people eventually colonizing their former rulers.

And it can't really be claimed they improved any of the places their poured into. Cheap, easy to exploit labor simply isn't worth the rest of the hassle.
