I haven't kept up with Re:Zero stuff, including the recent season, after the loli censorship and the LN's recent humiliation of Rem. What's going on?

@SuperSnekFriend Damn I hate when authors pull stuff like that(they did something similar with Mash in FGO) if it's temporary, I don't mind it too much, but I only ever thought it was well done in Code Geass, and C.C. only lost them for like 2-3 episodes at most.
@DerFuhrer @SuperSnekFriend The "established character gets super amnesia" plot device is temporary like 90% of the time honestly.
I'm trying to find the guy here who has read ahead in the LN, but the gist was that Rem lost her memories and Subaru and company have to restart with her all over again.
