On July 1, 1661, the Treaty of Cardis was signed between #Russia and Sweden. Under the terms of the peace treaty, Russia returned to Sweden the territories occupied by #Russian troops, freedom of trade was established for Russian and Swedish merchants, as well as the opportunity to practice their faith. #Moscow was forced to make concessions to the Swedes, since the main direction of hostilities was the Commonwealth.
