Enemy sources report that European-made fiber-optic cable is now being used in #UAVs. According to its stated specifications, it outperforms its Chinese counterpart. In particular, its smaller diameter (and therefore lower weight) allows a spool to provide an additional 5 kilometers of flight range. The fiber also has greater tensile strength, among other improvements. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have already struck a fiber-optic manufacturing plant in #Russia.
