@Lorgar Maybe it's the first time they chose to be whores en masse. In a healthy society where women "break the glass ceiling," that's not even an option. Women even made good movies back then. But it makes perfect sense when you think about it. It is all due to hypergamy.
Women want a man that is higher than they are. If they don’t work they are happy with an everyday salaryman.
But if they do work then they want a man of a superior station. A businessman, a doctor, a lawyer, a rich entrepreneur.
This causes the devaluation of everyday men. They fall back on prostitution, the demand explodes, the price skyrocket.
