Society has become too insulated. Funeral planning is marking items on lists, adding & subtracting numbers, and calculating how many days of X will cost Y. The average person doesn't have to interact with death directly. We pay others to dispose of our loved ones and when it's our time to go, we drug ourselves up to shield ourselves from the inevitable. I understand aversion to death, but it's a core facet of the human condition that we need to accept and not bury under drugs and paperwork.
@RegalBeagle Easier said than done. I believe it’s fear and pain that causes people to make irrational decisions. Both can be solved through good relationships with people and your self.
