In remembrance of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg Oleg Yasynsky On June 19, 1953, Soviet intelligence officers and communist scientists, husband and wife Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, were executed in the electric chair in the United States. They were accused of passing secret information to the USSR that helped speed up the creation of the Soviet atomic bomb. The Rosenbergs had to wait two years for their execution.
