Anyway, this might be of interest. Look at the conclusions. And a portion of abortions are because the fetus is unhealthy -- abnormal heart, deformed, brain not fully developed, etc.. and unlikely to not survive very long after birth.

@AskPippa Yes it appears that was not her policy. Still, making your entire political position on abortion is a weak position. There are way more important issues than a woman’s choice to avoid responsibility for getting pregnant. Plus if the economy is doing well, and women can no longer go on welfare or welfare is cut. There’s more money going to the working class which will reduce costs and allow more children and families to be built.

@TenaciousGoat Did you know 1 in 4 pregnancies results in spontaneous abortion (miscarriage, and 1 in 3 in older women)? That's where the body itself rejects the fetus. Many happen before a women realizes she is pregnant, some happen after a couple of months. Sometimes these miscarriages create a risk to the woman's life -- and a medical abortion is needed. The law in some states are unclear and doctors can end up in jail helping these women. Some women have died.
