Power amplifies x100 your ego / vices / personal philosophy.

When you are only leading a family, some friends, or just yourself the tiny mistakes don’t matter and probably go unnoticed.

When you rule over a kingdom, even your smallest mistakes or poor judgment calls turn into massive festering wound for everyone to see.
