@rohrkrepierer they find a 100 ft island of trash out at see with what looks to be some destroyed old ship in the center.
They get to hop of their ship and explore this area and go into the ship.
The can investigate the ship and find some old lore, gold, weapons for the ship, etc.
In the bottom area of the cargo hold they see a strange 5 ft tall idol made in the shape of a beautiful mermaid, the base of the statue is coved in deep speech runes and glyphs…
@rohrkrepierer as they interact with the loot around it the floor gives our and the idol drops into the water fallowed by immense bubbles and a strong small of sulfur.
After a few moments 4 monsters come out of the water and attack them. (1 Merrow and 3 Sahuagin) attempting to drag one player into the water.
During the fight one of the players get marked.
The players win the fight and flee as the see more bubbles fill the surface of the water.
As they board their ship and begin to flee…
@rohrkrepierer the marked player begins to feel a burning sensation coming from the mark as a mermaid the size of a large creature breaches the surface.
The players can battle her lightly before she flees.

a chance to build a unique sea monster city, memorable fights, and lore to investigate later on in the game.
You can have the mermaid come back later on as a surprises boss monster trying to drag the marked player back into the sea.
