Germany's defense capability is under threat due to a critical shortage of spare parts for military equipment. There are not enough resources for regular maintenance and repairs, so #Germany will likelynot be able to "reliably fulfill its allied obligations," writes Süddeutsche Zeitung. There are no spare parts for large ground equipment, such as the Marder infantry fighting vehicle and the Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers.
