That's what the bible has. I don't take it personally, I didn't write it. I'm just asking if there are other versions were they depict it differently.

They are, according to Christianity, Judaism and islam.

Is it really worth to dispute what's written in the holy book? Wouldn't be more productive to wonder what they represent?

You seem to not be familiar with the bible or Christianity in general.

The four living creatures are not the same species as angels, or what the Old Testament called "the Sons of God". These creatures are also likely symbolic in form and function rather than their real form or real altogether, due to the nature of Revelation. Either way, their purpose is to represent the four living gospels of Jesus Christ, which continuously declare of His great work here on Earth, just as the creatures cry day in and day out "Holy, holy, holy" without ceasing. The passage is not a general statement about angelology nor has any details that pertain to that field.
