My Question: how many countries have election day as a paid holiday?

Ducky's Search Assist Reply: only two countries, Israel and South Korea, have legislated a mandatory paid holiday on election day. Other countries may have varying policies regarding time off for voting, but these two are unique in their national laws.

My Reply: well I really like one of those two countries, which is actually my home. The other one? I'm not really into land thieves or arrogant murders.

It's all good and dandy for South Korea except that problem with...you know...ongoing extinction.
Pretty sure you should be working on that small issue instead of "voting", "democracy" or any other of the modern bullshit distraction.

First, I am 'Murican here by nationality. So I can't "work on" that much... 🤣

Second, reunification would solve that. South Koreans and North Koreans hooking up. Likewise, Korea and Vietnam are making an interesting partnership.

Third... come on, buddy.

Not cool to poo-poo a common sense idea. Election Day should be a national holiday in all countries, even if it has to be piggy-backed onto an existing holiday.

@SiRrogueKnight
That's true, I'm always on for more holidays, for whatever reason. I just hate democracy and I hope it never comes back at least for 100 years after it goes away.

You could definitely work on that, you're in the best place, Korea itself, to get those korean birth rates up. Maybe some american vitality is what could convince Korean women.

Very true! North Korea BEST KOREA, they will eventually inherit the empty southern territory after feminism has cleansed the land.

Well they wouldn't have to draft me into that position. I'd take it up if they ask... 🤣

I do have my plan to buy a ghost town in the mountains here. My retirement horizons can spread far and wide... 😂

Great plan! Soon there will be hundreds of cheap ghost towns.
