I have hundreds of grandfathers who fought on both sides of the rebellion. In retrospect of what has become of this country and former nation setup as a Republic with liberal rights, I think my grandfathers who wanted it to remain a constitutional monarchy have been proven right.

I don't think it would have mattered. If the US was a part of the UK, they would still have gone into europe during WW1 and WW2 to kill their brothers fighting for the enemy, resulting in basically the same defeat.
It would probably be worse because the culture would be much more similar to the UK (no 2A, fags everywhere, mass arrests of white men who post on twitter) than the american spirit created by the constitution.
Essentially Canada.

There are way too many factors and possibilities to predict what would have happened. The constitutional republic proved to be more susceptible to infiltration, corruption, and weakening than a constitutional monarchy. A minority of colonists probably knew that and rejected the so called enlightenment thinkers.

Canada is a constitutional monarchy until today.
You're just describing Canada and they fell even harder and faster than the US. I honestly don't see how following Canada's path would have been better than the path America trailed (until the civil war at least).

England's monarchy was gradually weakened over time. The English Civil Wars from 1642 to 1651 won by Cromwell who was backed by jews gave more power to the parliament. This was a step in the gradual descent into democracy. So many things could be different if events or wars happened differently.

About a third of the colonists were British loyalists and an unknown amount were ambivalent. Loyalists were often stripped naked, tared, feathered, and forced to march through the streets in a humiliating fashion to reduce their support.
