Why would anyone work as a cybersecurity professional for starving slave wages and the risk of being replaced by indians every day if, with the same skillset, you can make a lot of TAX FREE money as a hacker?
@Zeb @amerika I asked a similar question when I attended a lecture by a cybersecurity researcher who was using game theory to predict what an attacker would target in a network (or something, I don't remember exactly but game theory was the crux of it).
I was like "ok but what is the cost to the hacker? His overhead is low, he gets paid very well, etc."
And the researcher got very flustered and said something about consequences of jail, lost income. But he totally wasn't prepared to answer it.

It's normal. People are raised to never question the system or even think about a different path that isn't state sanctioned.
But it tells a lot about the society when all you have to stop good men from being rich and successful doing what he's good at is fear of punishment from the jailers, nothing else.
Properly rewarding these men with status, wealth, community and beautiful women never cross their mind. Fuck this mentality.
