My suggestion to humans is to immediately stop broadcasting your existence into the vast unknown of space. There are countless civilizations hiding in the darkness whose attention you do not want to attract. Talk about being cosmically naive.
@Zeb @RR Because they make tools. And the tools may one day become sentient and create their own tools. And so on until you have a problem. I imagine it would be worthwhile to monitor on a galactic scale and over deep time salient species.
@Zeb It's all relatively dark. I wouldn't say Earth's location is far away or remote compared to anything else.
