Keir Starmer's 'difficulty' with Peter Mandelson just got a bit deeper.... it transpires that he actually failed the (newly enhanced) security vetting, but this failure was over-ruled by the Foreign Office (one must suspect at the behest of Starmer).

Moreover, there's now a suspicion that Starmer misled Parliament on the character of the vetting process between the announcement of the appointment & Mandelson actually being appointed.

One more unforced error!
