software engineers have no formal professionalism, do whatever theyre told, don't have guilds or professional societies with teeth, basically nothing. software everywhere is almost all garbage.
@sun There's plenty of good software around. Look no further than to BSD, Linux and the FSF. All the software you could possibly need exists within those ecosystems and it is being developed by passionate and competent people for free.
