@EvilSandmich @Kalogerosstilitis2RevengeoftheJunta @thefinn Sounds reasonable to me. Add to that, that I believe an explanation of the US innovative and industrial wonder is due to genetics.
The ones who could work and innovate left europe, where kings and corruption ruled, to a country where this was not entrenched. Fast forward 150 years and it's the wealthiest country on the planet.
Sadly this advantage has been diluted quite a lot the past 50-90 years or so, I fear.
