How much I have understanding for #linux needs for #xserver replacement with #wayland it is far away from being done and I feel sometimes it is step back to 90s in terms of functionality. To get it working in headless container setup with vnc is more like engineering feast than easy job done. Not mentioning we don’t have alternative for #xrdp. How much someone might hate Microsoft, RDP protocol is superior to anything else. With this we have ditched in wayland setups, sound, remote printers, local drives, etc. I just want to cry 😢

@bonifartius @janantos Wayland is for nerds. I have just X for decades and never had any problems.
@janantos @bonifartius Most likely. But at least the source will always be there, so for a long time to come, I can remain on the software I like even if LF or other lunatics decide thta wayland is the only way forward.
