In a blow to Brussels, Iceland has held a referendum that has narrowly rejected the government’s proposal to hold accession talks with the EU.

@kibcol1049 Excellent! Every time Brussels loses, Jesus is happy! Icelanders are smart people for wanting to avoid the authoritarian and socialist EU. They and norway know the way. They collaborate as long as it benefits them, and when it does not, they are free to walk away, unlike the EU members who are more like medieval serfs.
