Boomer here. Leave it to Beaver era, Eisenhower era kid. Andy Griffith era. I’m glad I was born, when I was. Bought my first house for $13 thousand. Glad I took this advice: I was born long ago. Way easier than today, where the cheapest car costs $20 thousand. Take my advice, kids: be born, long ago. Way better.

@Goalkeeper I know why the UK has this problem. The planning permission system, houses look all the same shade of gray, brick, white or shit and have terrible insulation and awful designs. The local government has a choke on any build even on your own land.
