Qatar’s LNG exports collapse by 96%, Reuters Qatar managed to export just 18 LNG cargoes during the six months of the US-Iran war. A year earlier , exports over the same period reached 509 cargoes . Due to the blockade of the Strait of and the destruction of production infrastructure, shipments fell by 96% , Reuters reports. Qatar lost around $24 billion in gas-export revenues, equivalent to roughly five months of the country’s 2025 income .

@mypidxaku countries like qatar and the UAE are only able to maintain a bunch of slaves from other countries while putting the native citizens on what amounts to super welfare because of their energy economy

it will be very interesting to see how the war effects what is currently a very precarious balance
