Blocked Black Sea ports are threatening Ukraine’s iron ore industry, exports and tax revenues.The closure of the deep-water ports of Greater Odesa has severely disrupted Ukraine’s iron ore exports. The Poltava and Southern Mining and Processing Plants (PGOKs) have already suspended production, while Ferrexpo says it may only have sufficient funds to continue until mid-September without renewed shipments and additional financing. Metinvest expects iron ore production to decline by around 30%.
