The Pentagon intends to fully discontinue using Anthropic AI technologies by the end of September, said Emile Michael, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense for Research and Development. According to him, the agency is already removing the company’s software from its systems. The process will take time because Anthropic’s technologies are embedded in the Pentagon’s complex systems and they need to be replaced gradually, without disrupting the agency’s operations.
