Netherlands moves gold reserves from Canada and to The Dutch Central Bank (DNB) announced the transfer, stating it "ensures better readiness for serious crises." Gold held in the Bank of England is considered the most liquid globally, allowing for rapid sale or collateralization. Reserves in New York and Ottawa cannot be accessed as quickly or directly. Following the move, 18.5% of national gold remains in each of NY and Ottawa.
