On June 13, 1892, † Vasily Nikolaevich Kochetkov, "soldier of three emperors," died; he lived 107 years. 100 out of 107 years Vasily Kochetkov spent in active service. Born in 1785 in the Simbirsk Governorate, Kurmysh District. Kochetkov was from the cantonists (soldier's son). Cantonists from birthday were on the military department's lists. He began serving on March 7, 1811, as a musician. He went through the entire Patriotic War of 1812 in combat. Then he went off to the war with Turkey.
