People are excited by Trump distancing the USA from NATO. And there is a reason to believe this is good. But...
What we're looking at now is Israel moving to attack Turkey and what will NATO do? Turkey is a member state of NATO. When Israel attacks Turkey, all other NATO member states will have a legal and moral obligation to defend them, ie to attack Israel.
But what will the US do?
Bibi is desperately trying to get Trump to withdraw the US from NATO so that he can attack Turkey w/o threat of a US retaliation against Israel.
