The embassy in Paris forwarded to Moscow a letter from the honorary chairman of the presidium of the International Council of Russian Compatriots, Count Pyotr Sheremetev, in which he asks Vladimir Putin for help with his return to Russia. "Indeed, he expressed a firm intention to return to the homeland of his ancestors — Russia. The other day, the embassy received a letter from Pyotr Petrovich Sheremetev with such an appeal addressed to the President of Russia, which we sent to Moscow through the appropriate channels," the diplomatic mission reported on Telegram... The media reported this week that Sheremetev wrote a letter to Putin. The Count said that he wanted to move from France to Russia and transport his property, including his collection. He noted that as the eldest descendant of the Sheremetev family, he wanted to fulfill his father's last will and return to Russia to spend the rest of his days there and rest in the land of his ancestors.
