I love people, unconditionally. That's it, that's the post.

I know some people who wouldn't give me the time of day because I don't meet their purity test. I don't reject the right people, or the wrong people, depending on your point of view. These people would probably call me a Nazi for that reason, but I know it isn't accurate, so it slides right off me. I love you even if you're misguided and judgemental.

There's other people who would call me a slur because I love the people they would use that same slur on. Its the same thing, I don't reject certain people, so I must be one of them. Just as before it doesn't apply to me and it slides off just as easily. I love you even if your own vision is clouded by prejudice and bias.

My brother in law is a piece of shit who cheated on his wife, who was not only family to me but a good friend, and I'd still offer him a seat at my table. Because, at the same time, he's kin, and I'll always hope he would listen to reason. I know why he did it, but that doesn't make it okay. Maybe I could set him right if I could put him in a headlock long enough. If not, I could still take him in a fight. I love you because I understand you even if I don't agree with you.

My boss is a sociopath who would sell us all out to protect his own ass, but I'm still going to hug him when I see him. He's a sycophant and the poster child for shiny-object syndrome, but he serves an important purpose which is keeping me out of a fucking meeting. It isn't his fault that middle management is required in a modern company, and once again, I could take him in a fight. 5'7" ass. I love you even if I'm a tool to you, because so are you, to me.

The point of all of this is that I love people. People who would find me abhorrent, people who would find my friends abhorrent, people who disappoint me, people that I would disappoint, people who use me, even people who don't really know me at all. None of us is isolated, sufficient on our own. Each of us is a piece of the whole. If a retard is lost, we are lesser, same as if any of us were. Each of us reinforces one another, because we are involved in us. Do not ask for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for all of us.
