Slovak Prime Minister Robert #Fico stated that the Western countries’ strategy of bringing #Russia to its knees through support for #Ukraine has failed. If the major Western countries had not prevented Ukraine from signing an agreement prepared with Russia in April 2022, the war would have ended long ago. They were naively convinced that, through Ukraine and their full political, military, and financial support, they could bring Russia—which they detested—to its knees.
