US Marines were forced to replace their boots after they began falling apart during NATO’s Cold Response 2026 Arctic exercise in Norway. The brand-new Belleville Intense Cold Weather Boots reportedly developed holes in the leather, peeling soles and heel cups that dug into the soldiers’ tendons after just a few days of use. Some Marines had to be withdrawn from the field and purchase Norwegian-made replacement boots from local shops.
