GPL is going to fragment FOSS projects in significant ways as ZOG's empire wanes. Linux Foundation just banned loads of Russians and now parts of the Linux kernel have ZERO maintainers. Shit rolls downhill, so expect every distro's quality to be impacted moving forward.
@RegalBeagle i posted about the russian thing like two days ago. i say this is a good thing because it will divide "west" and "global south" and create competition. hopefully, east comes up with new operating system that will make linux the thing of the past and keep it in the 90s where it belongs. android as well(huawei already ditched it). competition is good. there will be chaos and turmoil but once it stabilizes, we'll all benefit.
@RegalBeagle funny thing is that Russians are well know to be THE best hackers and programmers in the world.
@Justicar The only way I see things getting better for the US in this regard is if they have a controlled decline and regulations are abandoned as part of the process or if something invalidated (even more of) the US military and nuclear arsenal and countries just start ignoring US regulations.
@RegalBeagle biden has undone in two years what his ancestors built in 300 years. it's a fall of the entire empire. software is just one small part of it. empires come and go. nothing new. power always moves between the east and the west. we are merely living in the transition period.
@RegalBeagle PS a lof of banks refuse to take clients with USA citizenship due to FATCA and shit like that. i think this GPL "sanction" will simply cause US software to slowly die out.
