i have noticed that people will watch and like any movie, no matter how nonsensical it might be, as long as the director establishes the rules of the world. but it seems that girl boss beating up men twice her size is some primal thing that cannot be overwritten to be accepted, no matter how well you establish the rules of the world. so a movie might actually be 99.99% good, but if there is girl boss beating up men twice her size, it turns the entire movie into steaming slush of diarrhoea.
