Why are the normies always so bent out of shape over the Palestine genocide? I'm far more concerned about the genocide in my own country (UK). They get whipped up into a moral hysteria and are left unable to think objectively. Gets 'em every time. They seem to enjoy, like it gives them something to unite around. https://youtube.com/shorts/CGqKaUwZOU0?si=EUZCFXSP8LKuvFoA
@SamHarris because Palestine is being actually wiped out, whereas UK is merely being willingly given away by your own people.
Those two situations are incomparable as you cannot compare your feelings about the state of your country with people being actually massacred out of existence.
@SamHarris in that case the reason is quite simple - if people would be more concerned about state of UK rather than Palestine, they would have to admit there is a problem, right at their doorstep. Not on the other side of the planet. That means they themselves would have to do something about it. It is tangible, not just letters in a newspaper or images on tv screen. So if they ignore it, it does not exist and they can keep existing in the bubble, living their fantasy that everything is alright
@Justicar Good point. Almost as if they recognise the proximity of the problem, but they are able to distance themselves from it emotionally by focusing on it where it exists in far away places.
