@RodrickSage farmers and "crafstmen" ate a lot of fat and carbs because meat was always scarce. soldiers on the other hand had meat because they were valued more by the king so they had to eat well enough to fight for him. peasants were historically also not allowed to hunt on king's land so the meat was reserved for the nobility. hence farmers and "craftsmen" were fat, while soldiers were not. nobility was mixed since they had access to all foods. i would not read too much into body shapes.
@dander saudis cannot be trusted. they would sell their mother for a pretty goat. they are living in a fucking desert and the only reason they are relevant is because of the oil. they would do literally anything to keep the money coming in and allow them to live like human being in the 21st century instead of living like they should be - in utter poverty and zero development(it's a fucking desert).

there is a link on hacker news about one of the smaller linux kernel maintainers leaving because of anti russian rhetoric and behavior in the community. especially linus being finnish and hating russians to begin with. i say this is a great thing, to separate west and east, so there will be more innovation and competition. i also read huawei ditched android and have their own mobile phone OS. only for asia but still, great news for software.
