people think that doing nothing is easier than doing something. well, try not eating and let me know how it's going...sometimes inaction is more painful than action. actually, that is the case more often than people think.
i'd love to take a vacation but
a) it is often hard to find direct flights
b) usually the flights take many hours to reach where i'd want to go

at some point in history, democratic governments flipped the system in a way where the people are serving them instead of governments serving the people. sooner or later we'll hit a point of reversal that will cause a massive change in our societies and return power back to the people. but it will most likely get bloody.

trump talking about asking china and russia to demilitarize because usa makes the best weapons(i guess he wants to sell american weapons to the world), or to decrease their nuclear arsenal, is peak desperation. the tariffs and trying to bring manufacturing back home is the last hurrah before the empire crashes and burns to a crisp. question is, how much of that fall will he be able to withstand whilst in office and what will fall on the shoulders of his successor. 2030 will be lit.
