so much technology and automation has been invented and deployed in last two decades, yet things are still as expensive as before. by now, everything should be cheap as fuck and universal standards of living should be tenfold of what they were in 2000, but i do not feel any different now than i did back then. i think the wages adjusted for inflation have been stagnant since the time of Rome. literally nothing has changed for humanity. we're stuck in the same place, unable to move forward.
funny thing is that holywood can keep making woke crap that never makes them a single penny because tax payers will bail them out, like during covid. but gaming industry is a different animal and we are clearly seeing that GWGB is actually working and companies are now reversing their course. it did not even take a decade before it started to collapse. essentially black smaurai broke the camel's back. in 5-10 years, we will probably get good games again.

there was a time i wanted to, seriously, emigrate to australia. about 15 years ago. what stopped me was lack of money they required to let you in. a former co-worker had to take loans and borrow from family and friends what she could to do the same. i am glad it did not worked out for me. the country is becoming a very strange experiment.
