@EvolLove oh yeah they're tiny. Probably the smallest fish they bother to gut and clean before packaging, but even that not always. They're almost always sold in oil and they're generally used to stuff deep friend zucchini flowers (yes, it's a thing) or as pizza topping.
If you happen to be in a fishing village you can find them tossed in pancake dough and deep fried, and then you eat them like fries, but those are very regional things.
