@Dan_Ramos Corn syrup doesn't need to be banned, just get rid of the sugar tariffs on South America and the corn subsidies. Without those, sugar is cheaper than corn syrup.
I remember what a hard on Dubya had for ethanol but it is much less energy dense than gasoline. I can't think of anything corn is a superior alternative for. It's barely digestable unless heavily processed.
@mitchconner @Dan_Ramos It's good for quickly fattening animals for slaughter. Corn is just another starch like rice and potatoes.
Rice and potatoes actually get broken down by the human digestive tract...
